Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy

Young Adults with Epilepsy (YAWE) is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our community. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or any form of harmful behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.

 

Harassment and discrimination include but are not limited to:

•    Unwelcome conduct, including offensive verbal, written, or physical behavior.

•    Any form of bullying, intimidation, or retaliation.

•    Sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments, advances, or coercion.

•    Discrimination in access to programs, events, or resources.

 

Reporting & Enforcement If you experience or witness harassment or discrimination, we encourage you to report it immediately to contact@yawecc.org. All reports will be taken seriously and addressed promptly. Retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith will not be tolerated. YAWE reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removing individuals from events, programs, or online spaces if they violate this policy. We are committed to ensuring that YAWE remains a supportive and empowering community for all.
