Seizure Action Plans
What is a seizure action plan?
A Seizure Action Plan (SAP) is a personalized medical document that provides clear instructions on how to recognize and respond to a person’s seizures. It’s developed by the individual (or their caregiver) in collaboration with their healthcare provider. The goal is to keep the person safe, guide others on what to do in an emergency, and improve communication between families, schools, workplaces, and healthcare professionals.

Think of it like a “seizure safety playbook”—it helps teachers, coworkers, friends, and caregivers respond quickly, consistently, and with confidence.
