Sam Moreno, Peer Support

Sam Moreno (Spanish)
Monday 5:30 PST/8:30 EST

Sam was diagnosed with Epilepsy at 11 years old after having 1 seizure in her 6th grade history class. She knew nothing about Epilepsy or seizures, only knowing it changed her life. She spent 20 years of her life living in denial, living a double life and alone. It wasn't until her older brother said, "Maybe figuring out Epilepsy is what you're meant to do," that changed her perspective on her condition. That's when Sam decided to start sharing her story. She wanted to help others with Epilepsy feel like they weren't alone in their journey.

Teresa Richer (English)
Monday 5 PT/8 ET and Tuesday 4:30 PT/7:30 ET

Teresa Ross Richer is a 2025 graduate from Goshen College with a degree in psychology. Diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of sixteen, she identifies with the importance of being resilient and wants to be a part of fostering an empowering and supportive community. Teresa was born in San Anselmo, California, but has since lived in Perú and Ecuador, and continues to be on the move. She also appreciates the gift of long distance running and has completed five marathons. In her free time, Teresa enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, jewelry making, traveling, and thrifting; which kickstarted her recent endeavor of creating a thrifted retail business on Instagram with her older sister.
